Musing on Homewood’s Al Fresco dining terrace at Olio you’d be forgiven for mistaking your location. Slap bang in the middle of Somerset, Olio feels more like the terrace patio restaurants of the Mediterranean.
On Monday 12th April, Homewood will re-launch its locally renowned Mediterranean influenced Olio Terrace. With a large patio, outdoor kitchen, rustic pizza oven, relaxed seating area and views across the hotel’s manicured lawns and the rolling Somerset countryside, the sun-drenched Terrace will be the place to be seen this spring and summer. Guests (two-legged and four-legged) may enjoy lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and of course, cocktails aplenty, every day from 12-9pm
The Olio Terrace is an extension of Homewood’s eclectically decorated indoor restaurant. Executive Chef James Forman sources the very best sustainable ingredients from local farmers and suppliers. Menus include generous feasting platters for sharing and great British favourites. Try delectable Somerset bites, including salt & pepper Brixham squid and serrano ham with local Wyfe of Bath cheese and truffle Honey. Smokey woodfired flat breads, hearty salads with zingy freshness and sizzling hot plates from the Robata will tempt diners.
Welcomed onto the lawns with a glass of Taittinger Champagne, a three-course dining extravaganza awaits. Whilst enjoying a mezze platter to start, the Homewood team will nominate a member of your group to be promoted to head chef for the day (apron at the ready), who will be shown the ropes on your very own ‘Big Green Egg’, so they can finish grilling your main course themselves! There’s plenty of time to grab those ‘Instagrammable’ shots whilst sipping on a glass of wine or two before pudding.
Available seven days a week, these exciting domes can accommodate a maximum of six guests and is available seven days a week, from 12-3pm or from 7-10pm. Afternoon tea is also available from 4-6pm.

Homewood’s heated Olio Chalets are ideally positioned on the terrace to provide a welcoming space regardless of the weather. The chalets are dressed to the nines and suitable for up to six guests.
And now for something completely different – introducing from 17th May, your very own 'Big Green Egg' barbecue dining experience, nestled amongst the tree line of the lawns, with unbroken views over the hotel grounds.
