Let the music play again

The Art Cohort is an award-winning Artspace at 13 Chelsea Road, Bath. We champion emerging art and artists and exhibit new artworks in our exhibition space, showcase work from local artists and makers in our art shop and run art classes and workshops in our learning space.

‘Let the music play again’ is a new exhibition by illustrator and designer Sarah Hawkins. Following on from over a year of no live music, gigs or concerts, this art exhibition highlights musicians and the relaunch of communal creativity in person. To make a mark and reclaim what has been stolen from musicians this last year.

Music sparks emotion, brings life, makes memories and provides connection. A universal language and an art form that has human interaction at its core.

Sarah Hawkins specialises in continuous line drawings as well as exploring the use of ink and digital design within her work. Drawn from her love of music and people, ‘Let the music play again’ will showcase Sarah’s illustrations of musicians from the likes of Miles Davis and Bob Dylan to Lauryn Hill and Alicia Keys.
