Popular Street Market returns
Innox Market, the monthly street market held at Innox Mills, Trowbridge, will return on Sunday 18 April, offering a mix of artisan products, street food, local produce and vintage clothing.
Organised by the Innox Mills site owners in partnership with The Anonymous Travelling Market, the events will be held in the historic buildings at Innox Mills, where visitors will be entertained by live music while they browse the stalls. This includes the Grade 2-listed Innox Mills building, the former dye house, brewery and cloth factory along the riverside, which date back to the 19th Century.
Social distancing measures will be in place to protect visitors and stallholders, including a one-way system.
“Providing the lockdown restrictions continue to ease as planned, we’re excited to be bringing Innox Market back to Trowbridge,” said Jonathan Dean, Director of Innox Mills.
“In 2020, the Market regularly drew around 3,000 visitors from the town and further afield and we’re expecting these new dates to prove just as popular. Following the success of the Christmas market, where we made use of the buildings which provided a great rustic backdrop, we felt they would also provide an ideal setting for the regular market, which will include a street food courtyard with a seating area when restrictions are permanently lifted.”
Food, drink and leisure will play a big role at the Innox Mills development, where 300 hundred new homes are planned.
Jonathan added: “We’re keen to create an exciting new quarter here and to encourage people to spend the day in Trowbridge. We’re currently exploring the potential to host even more events for 2021, including a beer festival in the summer and a return of The Fast and the Foodies, a car exhibition complete with street food. We’re also looking into a summer-long outdoor themed cinema event which will provide a variety of pop-up foods and extra attractions with each theme.”
Innox Market will be open from 9am – 3pm on the following confirmed dates:
Innox Market is within easy reach of Trowbridge station, the town centre and public car parks.
