Harry’s Cider – Award-winning craft ciders, perfect for the festive season
Harry’s Cider is building an impressive reputation for its award-winning ciders. The full range includes traditional, sparkling and fruit ciders, but at this time of year it’s their delicious mulled cider that really comes to the fore.
Harry’s Mulled Cider is made from apples that Harry and his son Toby grow and harvest on their family farm in Somerset. Together they make the base cider blend, which is then gently mulled with a selection of spices including ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. This is the traditional way of making mulled cider and, although it demands more time and attention from the cider-makers, the benefit is a mulled cider with truly outstanding aromas and flavour.
Awarded a Silver medal at this year’s Taste of the West Awards, Harry’s Mulled Cider is available in one litre glass flagons, three litre pouches, and larger Bag-in-Box formats. It really is a delicious, warming, inviting drink, perfect for the festive season and particularly welcome on these long, cold winter evenings.
Another refreshingly scrumptious option that’s ideal to enjoy and share this Christmas is Harry’s lightly sparkling ciders. Whether you prefer the rich flavour of Harry’s Original with its skilful blend of bittersweet apples; the medium Applemoor that has a beautifully mellow finish to perfectly balance its sweetness; or and the delightful fruity aromas and flavour of the single-varietal Dabinett, you’re sure to find something that ticks all the right boxes. And if it’s a Christmas gift box you’re after, they can help with that too!
You can visit Harry’s Cider at this year’s Virtual Bath Christmas Market and there’s a link on their online stall that will take you through to the Harry’s Cider website to place an order.

If you fancy visiting them in person instead, the Harry’s Cider farm in Long Sutton, Somerset is open to the public between 10am and 5pm from Monday to Friday and between 10am and 4pm on Saturdays. It is staying open for farm gate sales throughout the lockdown, with all visitors asked to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines.
You can also pre-book a cider tour and tasting for only £12.50 per person, although these will not be running again until after the lockdown has been lifted. The tours provide a great opportunity to sample a selection of top quality, award-winning ciders and learn how they’re made – so why not spoil your friends and family by giving them something extra special to look forward to once the lockdown is behind us?
