Always Free, Always Live, Always Awesome!
We are Electric
Komedia Bath is excited to announce a programme of FREE live music events that will take place in its newly refurbished Electric Bar.
This series of events will take place on various Friday and Sunday afternoons from 2pm-4pm and offer a chance to discover awesome live music - ranging from jazz and blues to folk and pop. The Electric Bar at Komedia offers a relaxed, trendy environment to enjoy homemade pizzas & street food favourites, alongside a fully stocked bar with local beers, cocktails and everything in-between. Now, with the addition of live music, there really is no better place to spend a lazy afternoon in the centre of Bath…

Sunday 5 March:
Pure Desmond (2-4pm)
The German jazz quartet Pure Desmond formed in 2002 with the aim of bringing the original sound of ‘60s cool jazz (as exemplified by the legendary Paul Desmond) into the modern era through their own original compositions as well as adaptations of well known songs.

The Drew Hall Trio (2-4pm)
Drew Hall is an acoustic singer songwriter & soul singer based in Bath, in the UK. His musical style provides a combination of bluesy, soulful & easy listening sounds with a unique & strong singing voice, and a distinct, contemporary style of guitar playing.

Sunday 26 March
Luke De-Sciscio (2-4pm)
Luke De-Sciscio ‘found his song-writing voice the old-fashioned way: by writing (and mostly not releasing) dozens upon dozens of folk songs, spread out across a decade, often while living on a boat with no electricity or heat’. – NPR
His songs, mostly recorded live, winnow his music down to its most essential ingredients: a moment, a feeling and a level of poetic intensity akin to early Leonard Cohen or the writings of Rumi.

Pasha Finn (2-4pm)
Pasha is a multi-instrumentalist living on in the south west of England.
Pasha’s soft and poignant tones with Tom Connolly’s searching violin lines, melded beautifully together with the warm bass lines of Connor Enright, make for a captivating and enchanting sound. With a touch of Americana, Irish folk and pashas own material, the music travels as far as its influences.

Concrete Prairie (2-4pm)
United by a love of Folk, Country, Indie & Western music past and present, Concrete Prairie are a 5-piece from the U.K. playing their own brand of bruised Americana. The band take inspiration from across the genres to deliver songs dealing with life, death and everything in between – a veritable soundtrack for the glamour & grit of everyday living.
