Every Sunday afternoon, they put on free live music from 2-4pm. The Electric Bar Sessions, as they are called, are supported by funding from Arts Council England and showcase Komedia’s pick of awesomely talented musicians from the local area and beyond.

Ranging from jazz and blues to folk and pop and everything in between, the sessions are always free, always live and always awesome. All ages are welcome and there’s no need to book a ticket – just stop by!

The Electric Bar serves great coffee, as well as amazing draught beers and ciders, vegan wines and a wide range of spirits and mixers as well as plenty of alcohol-free options, soft drinks and bar snacks.

The Electric Bar doubles as Komedia’s venue Box Office. If you’d like to book tickets in person, or simply have a query about a particular event, you can drop in any time between Tuesday – Saturday from 10am – 5pm or on Sundays from 11am – 5pm.

Upcoming shows

Naomi Cook.webp

Sunday 7 July:

Naomi Cook (2-4pm)

Naomi Cook is a Bath-born-and-based singer-songwriter who loves hyphens. Self-consciously erring towards existential crises, she describes her particular brand of laid-back acoustic musings as ‘joyfully morbid’, with space for relatable ‘classic whinging’.

Despite this, she’s a naturally optimistic and silly individual who offers moments of levity as she warmly delivers songs influenced by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling, First Aid Kit, Lucy Rose, This Is The Kit and The Staves. Joined by inspiringly creative local musician Louise Victoria (Elvish, The Good Stuff), this promises to be a special performance.

Sunday 21 July:

Michaela Fedeczko (2-4pm)

Bristol-born soulstress Michaela Fedeczko presents her debut album ‘Blue Embrace’

‘…Heartfelt lyrics, gorgeous, yet understated vocals, impressively hooky and instantly memorable’ – Right Chord Music

Drawing on influences of soul/Motown, gospel, jazz, and pop. The album was predominantly written in lockdown and reflects recent events with themes of love, loss, grief, identity and the fragility of life.

Expect a glistening performance of retro-chic soul with a full band of the South West’s finest musicians who have worked with the likes of Andrea Bocelli, Mark Ronson, Katy B, Mark Ford and Geoff Barrow to name just a few.
