CLASSIC IBIZA SUPPORTS THE JGM TRUST FUND FOR BOWOOD HOUSE RETURN

FUND ESTABLISHED IN MEMORY OF CLASSIC IBIZA AUDIO ENGINEER WHO RECENTLY LOST HIS BATTLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS
PROCEEDS TO SUPPORT YOUNG PEOPLE AS THEY NAVIGATE THEIR MUSICAL JOURNEY & CAREERS
ORGANISERS INCREASE THEIR CHARITABLE DONATION BY 150%

Classic Ibiza, an open-air orchestral celebration of White Isle-inspired house music, is supporting The JGM Trust Fund for its much-awaited return to Bowood House on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 July. With ticket sales going well and the concert organisers increasing their charitable donation by 150%, it is hoped that considerable funds will be raised for this extremely worthy cause.

The JGM Trust was established by the family of Joshua Gareth Moon, an incredibly talented musician and audio engineer. Josh, a key member of the Classic Ibiza crew, sadly lost his battle with mental illness earlier this year. Helping people to reach their potential and keeping Josh’s memory alive, The JGM Trust Fund seeks to support young people as they navigate their musical journey and careers.

Josh’s Mum, Susanna Goldsworthy, says:

“Josh had a number of important people in his life who invested in him from a young age. As a family, we know that pursuing goals within the music world can be challenging, and often quite expensive. So many people have benefited from Josh’s wisdom, guidance and teaching. One of the ways we can see this generosity continue into the future is by enabling access to both psychological and financial support to those needing it.”

There will be various fundraising initiatives taking place on the evening, including a £2.50 donation (increased from £1 in previous years) from every programme sold, a recommended £5 donation from press and guest-list entries, as well as collection points at all entry and exit gates. Further funds will be raised at Classic Ibiza shop, selling a range of fun merchandise.

The JGM Trust has also set up a GoFundMe page, which can be accessed here.

Lisa Ward, promoter of Classic Ibiza, adds:

“Josh was one of our own and will be hugely missed by everyone he came into contact with. He was an extremely humble and talented person, with a passion for helping young people realise their potential in the music industry. We are honoured to be doing our bit to continue his legacy.

“As music played such a large part in Josh’s life, we will also be dedicating a newly orchestrated version of ‘You’re Not Alone’ by Olive to him during the performance.”

Classic Ibiza starts with a “Chill-Out DJ Set” performed by former Pacha and Ministry of Sound resident, Jose Luis. The Urban Soul Orchestra (USO) then take to the stage for the “San Miguel Sundowner Set.” They will be accompanied on the decks by Goldierocks on Friday and Miss Mavrik on Saturday. Goldierocks and Mavrik then perform their very own “House DJ Set”, before being re-joined on stage by USO for the “Dance Set” and laser light show.
