Irresistible food and luxurious surroundings at the new @BrownsBath Brasserie & Bar

Fresh from a magnificent new refurbishment, Browns Brasserie & Bar occupies a prime location in Bath city centre.

The historic listed building was a former police station, with an imposing entrance large enough for a horse-drawn carriage. Taking inspiration from the 1920s, the new interior has art deco styling, luxurious furnishings and opulent finishes.

Alongside the high ceilings and huge windows overlooking the Abbey, the refurbished brasserie and bar provides a simply beautiful backdrop to enjoy the seasonal British menu, traditional afternoon tea and extensive cocktail list. Guests can choose from fresh market fish delivered daily, and an ever-changing specials menu including fresh lobster on Thursdays, fresh Pyefleet oysters on Fridays, steaks from Browns’ own farms on Saturdays and traditional Sunday Roasts at the weekend. There is also plenty for vegetarians and vegans to enjoy, and a Gluten Free menu accredited by Coeliac UK.

Whether they’re dining or not, guests can take advantage of the stunning new bar, serving expertly hand-crafted cocktails and a fabulous range of wine, Champagne and gin.

Offering a simply perfect space for special occasions and events, Browns has a lovely new private dining room for up to 14 people, with the elegant new mezzanine available to hire for up to 100 guests.

To top it all off, Browns hosts weekly live piano performances every Thursday and Sunday.

Browns is now taking bookings for Valentine’s Day, offering a special menu of indulgent and irresistible dishes, from oysters, scallops and fresh fish to succulent steaks, duck and lamb, with lots of chocolate and delicious vegan options too. Book now from £26.95 for two courses.

They will also be celebrating Burns Night in partnership with Glenfiddich, with a menu of Scottish classics, each one perfectly paired with a smooth Scotch whisky.
