With Christmas just around the corner there’s lots of planning ahead to be done, from untangling the lights to present buying, but for the committee of Bath Open Christmas they have a bigger concern – to find a trained commercial chef to do the catering this year!

Bath Open Christmas has been running for some 30 years and caters for around 160 guests, 180 volunteers and 60 home delivery meals every Christmas Day, all cooked fresh in the fabulous kitchens at Kingswood School.

“Our previous chef, Graham Barrett, had been with us for many years and decided Christmas 2018 was his last”, explains David Pendle, the Chairman and Team Leader, “He’ll be a hard act to follow, but we have a duty to support our guests who’d otherwise be alone at Christmas and to Julian House who we also deliver meals to – so a new chef is what we wish for this Christmas!”

If you think you can command the kitchen team, are used to commercial ovens and catering on such a scale, please contact volunteers@bathopenchristmas.com
