Summer dining @Thebathpriory

Offering the charm of a country house hotel, but located just a short walk from the city centre, The Bath Priory is arguably the best spot for summer dining in Bath. With a celebrated 3 AA Rosette restaurant at the heart of the honey-coloured Georgian hotel, there’s also four acres of mature award-winning gardens to enjoy and the city’s best garden terrace, on which to enjoy coffees in the sunshine after lunch, or an aperitif before dinner.

The Bath Priory’s kitchen is headed up by Executive Chef Michael Nizzero, who moved to Bath following 14 years’ experience working across the UK, Europe, Dubai and his native Belgium, including a four year Sous Chef role with Michel and Alain Roux at the three Michelin starred Waterside Inn. Offering exciting menus that focus on the freshest produce, flavour and balance, Michael’s cooking delivers stylish, modern French dishes that epitomise the best seasonal dining, with a la carte and tasting menus offered alongside dedicated menus for vegetarians, vegans or those with any special requirements. Summer dishes are light and beautifully presented, with highlights including the ‘Cornish crab starter’, ‘Sea bass with fennel purée, seaweed, shellfish, Champagne emulsion’ and an incredible ‘Salted caramel chocolate fondant’.

Complemented by an extensive wine cellar and exceptional insight from the Head Sommelier, the dedicated restaurant team ensure every detail of the fine dining experience is perfectly paired. With its stylish sitting rooms, restaurant and stunning gardens, The Bath Priory makes the perfect spot to meet up with friends for a mid-week summer lunch, or to gather for a celebration or special dinner.
