Treat yourself this Easter with a tour of the world-famous Roman Baths, starting with a glass of Champagne around the warm thermal waters of the historic Great Bath. Watch the steam rise from this ancient monument before sitting down to a delicious three-course dinner in the Georgian Pump Room, accompanied by classical music from our resident pianist.

Served under glittering chandeliers and grand Corinthian columns, dinner will start with the choice between Wiltshire ham hock and smoked chicken terrine or potted Cornish crab on crisp rye bread. For mains, enjoy poached local Somerset chicken with herb gnocchi or pressed lamb shoulder with potato croquette and wild garlic puree. Finish your meal with our sumptuous Caramelised lemon tart with hedgerow berry sauce, or a bite of Bath bun bread and butter pudding with custard.

Dinner bookings are taken from 18:00 to 20:30 and we would suggest that you allow a minimum or 1.30 hours before to enjoy the guided tour and Champagne by the thermal waters as access to the Roman Baths is not possible after Dinner.

From Roman to Georgian: Easter dining in The Pump Room is £54 per person and can be booked by visiting visitbathshop.co.uk.

Mother’s Day delights at the Roman Baths

Behind the cards and bouquets of flowers lies an historical tradition that goes back centuries. First celebrated around the 17th century, Mother’s Day was originally a Christian festival, which involved visiting your ‘mother’ church in your childhood home and eating Simnel cake. After the First World War, when many mothers lost their sons, the festival spread throughout Britain to celebrate family and now falls every year on the fourth day of Lent, the Christian period of fasting that leads up to Easter. Make your mother feel loved this year with a gift voucher for a traditional Pump Room tea for £27.00 or £36.50 with a glass of Champagne.
