One of Britain’s most celebrated actors is reunited with one of the twentieth century’s greatest dramatists when David Suchet stars in Arthur Miller’s riveting drama, The Price, at the Theatre Royal Bath from Thursday 9th August to Saturday 25th August.

Gregory Solomon, a silver-tongued used furniture dealer, arrives at a Manhattan brownstone which was once the childhood home of Victor and Walter Franz. Victor is now a New York cop, Walter a successful surgeon.

Expecting to close the deal on a straightforward financial transaction, Solomon hasn’t counted on the brothers being there to confront each other, sixteen years after their last meeting.

David Suchet plays Gregory Solomon, a sublime part for the multi award-winning actor, whose roles have ranged from Hercule Poirot to Robert Maxwell and from Antonio Salieri to Lady Bracknell. For his five star performance in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons in the West End in 2010, he won Best Actor at the Critics’ Circle and WhatsOnStage Awards and received Evening Standard and Olivier Award nominations.

The Price is directed by Jonathan Church, Artistic Director of Theatre Royal Bath’s Summer Season, whose recent acclaimed West End productions include An Ideal Husband, Taken At Midnight, Singin’ in the Rain and Nicholas Nickleby.
